Padel training in Aarhus

Jonas Kruse has been playing padel for about 6 years and has a strong background in tennis, badminton and squash from his younger days. In 2020 he took a padel coaching programme and since then he has coached players of all ages and levels, from beginners to Swedish World Padel Tour players.

Jonas has extensive experience running group training, corporate training and various padel events such as tournaments and drop-in events. However, his main focus is individual training, where he works 1-on-1 or 1-on-2, which will also be his primary focus at Padel Lounge Aarhus.

He has previously coached elite players in both Morocco and Spain, and his training can be adapted to anything from offensive play, defensive play, transitions, general tactics, or very specific strokes like the bandeja. Jonas is therefore well-equipped to help players develop their paddle game at multiple levels.

Whether you want to improve your game in general or have a specific stroke you want to master, Jonas is ready to help you take your padel game to new heights. He is also experienced in helping to prevent or alleviate injuries such as tennis elbow that can occur with padel.

Padel tennis is the fastest growing sport in the world, and in Denmark we have embraced the sport. Just a few years ago, not many people knew about padel tennis. The first padel court in Denmark was established in 2007, and today padel tennis is one of the most popular sports in Denmark.

Its popularity is not least due to the fact that it's a sport that's easy for most people to get into. Padel doesn't require the same level of fitness, age or technical skills as similar sports, so it's easy to get started with padel tennis no matter what age group you are in.

At the same time, the game is relatively simple, even though it's a combination of more demanding racket and racket sports. For example, the technical demands are far lower than tennis, badminton and squash as the court is significantly smaller - meaning a bad knee won't limit you in the same way as if you were playing tennis.

Basically, padel is played as doubles, where two people compete against two people. However, it is also possible to play padel as singles - where two players compete against each other. The game is played in all its simplicity with the ball being played over the net, which is located between the two halves of the court, and you are allowed to use the hoops.

You play padel with a special padel racket, which, unlike a racket, has a hard surface. The bands on the court mean that duels can be difficult to finish, so the game doesn't die as quickly as tennis, even if you have no experience of the sport. This makes the sport incredibly easy to learn for beginners as you can get a game going without experience.

The padel court itself measures 10×20 metres and consists of a base of artificial grass and sand, a glass frame structure and a wire mesh. The balls used in the game are similar to tennis balls, but there is a difference, as padel balls are significantly softer. This is an advantage as it means there is less pace to the game.

Do you want to try your hand at padel tennis, or are you just looking for a padel centre where you can play padel in Aarhus? Whatever your level, Padel Lounge in Aarhus is the right choice. Click hereFind an available time and book a court - then simply turn up on the day and start swinging the bat.
