Cosy padel centre in the centre of Herning

Padel Lounge in Herning is a place where everyone is welcome. We have invested time and effort in creating a padel centre where the focus is first and foremost on the sport, but also where it's nice to hang out before and after the match. This is exactly the atmosphere we are trying to emphasise with our name, Padel Lounge.

You are therefore welcome to bring your own food and drinks to enjoy in the cosy, home-made lounge you'll find in the centre. If you haven't remembered your drinks or are suddenly thirsty, you can buy a variety of soft drinks from our vending machines - such as STATE, Vitamin Well or our very own Padel Lounge water.

We regularly organise events and tournaments, which you can find more information about by following our Facebook page. You can find it here here. It is also possible to book a court as an association, company or organisation. With us, there is room for everyone who wants to try their hand at padel tennis in Herning.

At Padel Lounge Herning, we have all the facilities you need, whether you're a beginner or an experienced player. Our mission is to spread the sport of padel, and we do this by making it as accessible as possible - which is why we have made a point of designing our centre so that it is easy to access for everyone

We offer the following facilities, among others:

  • Free car parking: Padel Lounge in Herning is located right by the train station, which makes it easy to get to and from the centre, whether you arrive by bus, bike or car. You can park for free in front of the centre if you arrive by car.
  • Bats and balls included in the rental: You can borrow bats and balls for free. They are available at each court, so you don't need to bring your own equipment unless you prefer.
  • Changing rooms: You can change outside the centre in our changing trolley, where you can shower, use the toilet or drink water after the match. You also have your changing cubicle all to yourself.
  • Easy booking: You can see available times and book courses here. The lights switch on by themselves when you arrive at the court - and switch off again when you leave the court. All you have to do is turn up and play padel.
  • Forget box: If you've forgotten something at Padel Lounge in Herning, we have a lost property box where we store forgotten items. It is located at the entrance to the centre, and you can access it during our opening hours.

All you need to do if you want to start playing padel in Herning is book a court, turn up and swing your paddle. You don't even need to bring your own equipment, which is an advantage if you just want to see if padel is for you. If you want to buy your own equipment, we have a partnership with Padelspecialist.dk. Read more here.

Paddle tennis is a sport that in recent years has become very popular all over the world. In fact, it is the fastest growing sport of all. The first padel court arrived in Denmark in 2007, and since then things have gone from strength to strength. Today, padel is one of the most popular sports in Denmark.

Just a few years ago, not many people knew about padel. Part of the reason for its popularity is that padel is an incredibly accessible sport. It doesn't make the same demands on your fitness, physical condition and technical ability as similar sports, making it easy to get started for all genders and age groups.

The game itself is also relatively simple as it combines all the best elements of various other racket and bat sports. The technique requirements of the sport are much lower than tennis, squash and badminton. At the same time, the court is significantly smaller, which means that padel is also ideal for those who suffer from a bad knee, for example.

Padel is a sport that is generally played as doubles - where two people compete against two people. However, it can also be played as a single. The sport is a kind of combination of tennis and squash, as you have to play the ball over the net, which is placed in the centre of the court, and you can use the bands when shooting the ball.

A padel court measures 10×20 metres and consists of a glass and wire mesh frame structure and a base of artificial grass and sand. The balls used for padel are in many ways similar to tennis balls, but the difference is that padel balls are softer, making the game less technical.

At the same time, you play with a bat that has a hard surface rather than a racket that consists of strings. The bands on the court make it difficult to finish duels, so it's possible to play padel even if you don't have great technical skills. This makes it a sport that is incredibly easy to learn.

Everyone can get started playing padel at our padel centre in Herning. Padel tennis is an incredibly beginner-friendly sport that provides a framework that makes it possible for everyone to join in - whether you're a beginner, experienced, young or old, you can experience the feeling of hitting a winning shot.

The court is surrounded by a glass wall and a wire fence that ensures you don't have to leave the court to retrieve a stray ball that has gone out, which means the game is not paused. The ball also has much less pressure than a tennis ball, making it a slower sport.

This gives you time to react when the ball flies through the air or hits the glass wall. The bat is large and lightweight, so your chances of hitting the ball are high, no matter what level you are at. This also means that there is far less risk of injuring your wrist when hitting the ball.

All in all, padel tennis is a sport that is incredibly easy to learn once you've played a few times. It's not a sport that makes great demands on your technical skills, which is why it takes less time to get good at the sport. Book a court today and get started playing padel in Herning.
